Sherman House

Located in historic downtown Lancaster is the home of a remarkable family that dates all the way back to the early 1800s. The Sherman House Museum is the birthplace of General William Tecumseh Sherman and his brother U.S. Senator John Sherman and has been a memorial to the family since 1951. Now a museum, guests are invited to tour this unique site to view authentic Civil War items, experience interactive displays and replica field tent, and learn more about the boys who would grow up to change history.
