On Thursday, June 19th from 11am-1pm, a Juneteenth Celerbration will be held at the Downtown Gazebo. There will be speakers, food from D's Dogs, and music.

This event is presented by The Black Interest Group of Lancaster, Destination Downtown Lancaster, Fairfield County Heritage Association, and the DEIB Committee of Lancaster Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce.

Join your friends and family for an unforgettable New Year's Eve Celebration!


Ring in 2025 with the annual Glass Town Countdown in the heart of downtown Lancaster! Spend time inside local restaurants and shops, then join us at Zane Square to warm up with hot chocolate, enjoy an adult beverage in the Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area, and count down the final minutes of 2024. Be sure to bring a camera so you can get your photo taken with the giant glass globe before it is lit and lifted at midnight. Start 2025 off with a bang! Enjoy fireworks and all kinds of fun as we celebrate new beginnings and community with our friends and neighbors.

Advent Window Walk

Advent Window Walk in Downtown Lancaster

Starting December 1, the Advent Window Walk is returning with 27 all-new, nighttime window displays in historic homes and nonprofits of downtown Lancaster. The living advent calendar features windows for Christmas, Kwanzaa and Hanukkah at the Decorative Arts Center of Ohio, the Fairfield County District Library and the Fairfield County Foundation. Each night, a new window will be revealed.

Downtown Trick or Treat

Dress up your kiddos and come to Downtown Lancaster for Trick or Treat!

Destination Downtown Lancaster will be hosting a Downtown Trick or Treat on Saturday, October 28th from 1-2:30pm (or until the candy runs out!)! The streets will be closed to traffic for this festive event. Get those costumes ready as we will have over 40+ businesses/organizations passing out candy. After you've collected all the candy, stick around to enjoy spooky specials at downtown restaurants and shops! 

This event is free and open to the public. Happy Halloween! 

Please Note: The streets will close at 11am on Saturday, October 28th for the event. (At Main Street from Memorial Drive to High Street, Broad and Columbus from Chestnut to Wheeling with alley access maintained). There will be no parking on Main Street during this time. There will also be restricted parking on South Chestnut Street and North Wheeling Street. The streets will open back at 4:00pm when it is safe to do so!
