Anastasia Shonk is a Lancaster native who grew up exploring the quiet brick alleyways of downtown, soaking up all the character and charm of the historic homes. Raised in an artistic family, Anastasia took up painting and drawing and other creative skills from a young age. Broadening her tastes further, she traveled to Japan and Ireland gleaning new understanding of music and artwork. Watercolor and hand sketching are her favorite mediums so far, but she dabbles in many forms of art always seeking to expand her expertise.
She attended Fairfield Christian Academy where she was very involved in the arts as choir piano accompanist and lead theatrical performer in various musicals and plays. Graduating Summa Cum Laude, she went on to Cedarville University where she studied Industrial & Innovative Design; inspired by her grandfather who was also an Industrial designer in Chicago. During her summers, she volunteered with the Lancaster Festival Stage Crew and enjoyed the creative surroundings. After receiving her Bachelor of the Arts degree, Anastasia continued in the design field where she has started her own local interior design business, Interiors by Anastasia.
